How to Monster Brownies

Here are a few steps you should follow when creating an instructional video:

Select Your Topic

• ·         Choose a topic that you know how to do well.
• ·         Consider your audience and be sure the topic is something that they can relate to or that would grab their attention.

Materials

• ·         Make sure to gather all the materials that you will need for your presentation. This will insure that your time is spent wisely.

Plan

• ·         Write out a script of what you want to say so you have somewhat of a plan how you are going to carry out your plan.
• ·         If it is written out step-by-step, your presentation is guaranteed to be organized and chronologically correct.

The Presentation

• ·         Speak clearly and make sure to annunciate your words. It is important that your audience is able to understand you in order to get your message across.
• ·       Make sure to talk slow, so your audience can be following along with your video if necessary.

Upload Your Video

• ·         Make sure after you take the perfect video to upload it so that people can learn from your expertise.

What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Do you have any traditions? Go in to detail about your plans for the 5 day weekend.

For Thanksgiving I am going to visit my mom's boyfriends family. We are going to spend two nights there. A tradition that we have is to go black Friday together. One year we stayed up all night shopping and it was a blast. Before my aunt died we used to all have matching shirts and take a group photo wearing them. Over Thanksgiving break we also put up out Christmas tree and take a family picture to go on our Christmas cards.

For my 5 frame story board I am telling a story about how to do an aerial. It is going to be creative because not many people can do one. The main characters are Sadie Myer and Sydney R. The begging is them starting out and then the middle is them in the air and finally the end is them celebrating landing it. I plan to have them do an aerial together and take the pictures.

What did you do this weekend?

This weekend I just spent a lot of time with my family because I have been really sick. I watched movies with them and made pies. I also had to work on Saturday and I babysat all day on Sunday. I also hung out with my friends one night and celebrated Halloween. It was a pretty relaxing weekend.

This Friday was the little girls cheer clinic game, where the little girls who came to the clinic get to cheer the first quarter of the varsity football game. They were so excited and had a lot of fun, and so did I. I also worked this weekend. It was the last day of the session for this gymnastics class, so I had to say goodbye to all of my kids. Then I went to ikea with my family on Saturday and had a family movie night.

Below is a letter written to the editor who wrote the article 'Enforcement of dress code creates negative effect' that your blogged about last week. Most of you wrote on your blog that you agreed with the writer. What are your thoughts after reading the letter below and seeing a different perspective. Are they the same? Are the different? Do you agree? Disagree? Explain yourself.

I still agree with my position last week. I believe your teenage years are a time where you are trying to discover yourself. Having your shoulders not covered doesn't create a problem what so ever. I do see and agree with some of your points that there is a time and a place for everything. I personally don't have a problem with the the school dress code besides the spaghetti strap rule because there are many very cute and classy dresses that i have that i am not allowed to wear to school.

The perfect curriculum to prepare myself for the life I want to live would be classes that include problem solving, medical profession, independence, organization, a technology class and confidence. I would study by actually doing these actions and practicing them to master them. They would be different than the classes now because they wouldn't have a lot of busy work and there would be a point to doing your assignments.

Now that you've been in Emerging Technology for several weeks... what do you think? Do you think the web tools (Drive, Evernote, Bubbl, etc.) are helpful to you? Do you think they will be helpful throughout high school or even college? Explain.

I think all of these new tools we are being introduced to are very helpful. I personally am going to use many of them next year in college to help with project and keeping my stuff organized on the web. I also have never really used google chrome until this class and that has already made a huge difference in the way I use the web and complete my homework and projects. I love using google docs when I originally hated it.

I think this article makes very good points. I agree with this article because my mom complements me on how cute I look before I leave the house and then you get in trouble for showing your shoulders. I don't think the dress code should be as strict as it is. Also it is taking away from our rights as citizens. We are being told to change our style by them setting these restrictions. There are some girls who don't dress appropriately and there aren't exceptions for that. I believe the thumb length rule for shorts is a good rule except the fact someone could have really long arms that they can't help. So that should be taken into consideration.
