What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Do you have any traditions? Go in to detail about your plans for the 5 day weekend.

For Thanksgiving I am going to visit my mom's boyfriends family. We are going to spend two nights there. A tradition that we have is to go black Friday together. One year we stayed up all night shopping and it was a blast. Before my aunt died we used to all have matching shirts and take a group photo wearing them. Over Thanksgiving break we also put up out Christmas tree and take a family picture to go on our Christmas cards.

Tell me about your idea for your 5 frame story board. What is the plot? How do you plan to make the story creative? Who's the main character? What is the beginning, middle and end? Tell me about your plan of attack.

For my 5 frame story board I am telling a story about how to do an aerial. It is going to be creative because not many people can do one. The main characters are Sadie Myer and Sydney R. The begging is them starting out and then the middle is them in the air and finally the end is them celebrating landing it. I plan to have them do an aerial together and take the pictures.

What did you do this weekend?

This weekend I just spent a lot of time with my family because I have been really sick. I watched movies with them and made pies. I also had to work on Saturday and I babysat all day on Sunday. I also hung out with my friends one night and celebrated Halloween. It was a pretty relaxing weekend.

This Friday was the little girls cheer clinic game, where the little girls who came to the clinic get to cheer the first quarter of the varsity football game. They were so excited and had a lot of fun, and so did I. I also worked this weekend. It was the last day of the session for this gymnastics class, so I had to say goodbye to all of my kids. Then I went to ikea with my family on Saturday and had a family movie night.

Below is a letter written to the editor who wrote the article 'Enforcement of dress code creates negative effect' that your blogged about last week. Most of you wrote on your blog that you agreed with the writer. What are your thoughts after reading the letter below and seeing a different perspective. Are they the same? Are the different? Do you agree? Disagree? Explain yourself.

I still agree with my position last week. I believe your teenage years are a time where you are trying to discover yourself. Having your shoulders not covered doesn't create a problem what so ever. I do see and agree with some of your points that there is a time and a place for everything. I personally don't have a problem with the the school dress code besides the spaghetti strap rule because there are many very cute and classy dresses that i have that i am not allowed to wear to school.

The perfect curriculum to prepare myself for the life I want to live would be classes that include problem solving, medical profession, independence, organization, a technology class and confidence. I would study by actually doing these actions and practicing them to master them. They would be different than the classes now because they wouldn't have a lot of busy work and there would be a point to doing your assignments.

Now that you've been in Emerging Technology for several weeks... what do you think? Do you think the web tools (Drive, Evernote, Bubbl, etc.) are helpful to you? Do you think they will be helpful throughout high school or even college? Explain.

I think all of these new tools we are being introduced to are very helpful. I personally am going to use many of them next year in college to help with project and keeping my stuff organized on the web. I also have never really used google chrome until this class and that has already made a huge difference in the way I use the web and complete my homework and projects. I love using google docs when I originally hated it.

I think this article makes very good points. I agree with this article because my mom complements me on how cute I look before I leave the house and then you get in trouble for showing your shoulders. I don't think the dress code should be as strict as it is. Also it is taking away from our rights as citizens. We are being told to change our style by them setting these restrictions. There are some girls who don't dress appropriately and there aren't exceptions for that. I believe the thumb length rule for shorts is a good rule except the fact someone could have really long arms that they can't help. So that should be taken into consideration.

Imagine Mr. Bacon has asked you to suggest one way of improving Blue Valley High School to make it a better place for students. Think about the changes that are needed at your school. Pick one change you feel would really make a difference and explain what it is and why you'd make the change.

I would change the school lunches. I would attempt to serve a variety of different types of food. Many people eat the same food over and over again every day. There should be many different choice for kids. Also school lunch prices I think are to high for the food we are eating. The quality of food should be a little better too. Sometimes my food isn't cooked all the way or the fruits and vegetables are not fresh.

I had a really good weekend. I got to see my boyfriend who goes to KU and my friends and I celebrated my birthday. I love how Kansas City has a lot to offer people. I also love how there are many different types of atmospheres in a small area. I really like down town KC and westport. My favorite team in KC is the chiefs because i like to watch football.

An infographic is an image to represent information or data. The purpose of them is to represent data and information quickly and clearly. It is a visual image that displays the statistics without distorting the information.

Tell me about your Homecoming weekend! If you didn't participate in the Homecoming festivities, what did you do? Share pics!

Homecoming weekend was very busy. On Friday night I cheered at the high school football game. Then on Saturday I woke up and went to get my nails done with my sister. Then I had to cheer at a soccer game at 12. Then while I was curling my hair for the dance I burned my leg. We took pictures and then went to dinner on the plaza and then to the dance. It was a very fun weekend. I am sad that it is my last homecoming.

What are your favorite apps on your phone or tablet? Why?

My favorite apps on my phone are twitter, snapchat, istagram and the weather channel. I like twitter because it is fun and entertaining. You can see what other people are saying and doing. I like snapchat because its a fun different way to communicate by using pictures. Instagram is one of my favorites because you can look at everyone's fun photos. Lastly i enjoy the weather channel app because it helps me decide what to wear for that day and i like knowing how to plan my day according to the weather.

What is email? When do you use email in your own personal life? List reasons and ways that people use email. What do you know about "email etiquette"?

Email is a way people can contact each other from all over the world. I use email to contact teachers, to receive my work schedule, and to be notified by certain information. Some people need to use email for their jobs. I don't really know anything about email etiquette besides you should sign your name at the end of an email.

Do you enjoy writing? When do you enjoy it? What kind of writing do you enjoy? Why do you think the ability to write is so important no matter what kind of writing it is? Give an example that you enjoyed writing or hated writing. Why?

I do not enjoy writing. They only time I enjoy writing is when i write to my friends when they go to kanakuk camp in the summer. I like to inform them what has been happening while they are gone. I think the type of writing I like the most is journaling because it is very informal and you can use your creativity. You have to be able to write to be successful in school, and your work force. I hated writing when I had to write a 5 page anatomy research paper last year.

When you don't prepare for something you are not going to succeed. You are setting yourself up to fail. I believe this is true because one time i decided not to study for my math test and i didn't get a good grade on the test. You have to prepare to do your best at all times or else you won't. Also being unprepared isn't going to have a good outcome ever. People need to be prepared to be successful.

On Friday I cheered at the Blue Valley High School football game.They won, so it was a lot of fun. It was also senior night, so that was a good experience too. After the game my boyfriend came home for the weekend so i got to hangout with him. On Saturday, I worked in the morning. After work I went out to kyoto for my birthday with my boyfriend. Then on Sunday, I went to church and had to say goodbye to my boyfriend. Overall it was a good weekend.

What is the importance of research? Why do you need to know how to research? What have you learned in high school about researching topics and finding quality resources? Have you had a helpful teacher that has taught you to research? Explain

Research is important because it is crucial for one to learn more and dig beyond the service. It is important to know how to research because you are going to need it in order to be well educated and successful throughout your life. I have learned to use databases for quality and a reliable source of information. Also you know that the databases are always credible sources. Mrs. Edwards was my CA teacher my sophomore year and she really emphasized how easy it was to use databases because you didn't have to check the credibility.

Kids these days play their music way to loud. They are very irresponsible and only care about themselves. They worry too much about fitting in with everyone else that they have lost their personality, which use to make them stand out. Also they can not stay away from their cell phones.

The Global issue i have chosen was mental illness. My dad and his whole side of the family struggle with it, so i was interested in learning how people deal and live with it everyday. Also what obstacles they have. I know from personal experience how it effects the people around them. I also was wondering if there were any ways as a community to help with this issue.

On Friday night i cheered at the football game and hung out with friends. On Saturday i went with my family to the first Pitt football game. I was really fun and i got to visit some of my friends who went there. I also got to see my grandma, which was good because i haven't seen her in awhile.

Yesterday I asked your to "think differently" and push yourself to be uncommon with your PSA project using Google Slides. Why do you think I asked you to do that? What is the point? Why not just use bullets and headers? Explain.

I believe the reason you asked us to think differently and to push ourselves to be uncommon with our PSA project was to challenge our creativity. Today in our society you need to be uncommon to be successful and to achieve more and the more we challenge ourselves now, the easier it will be later in life when it is most crucial. Also if you just used bullets and headers it would be to easy because my fifth grade brother can do that.

Tell me all about your Labor Day weekend. What did you do? Include photos!

For Labor Day Weekend I stayed here, in Overland Park. My moms boyfriend came to visit us this weekend. I had to cheer at a varsity boys soccer game on Friday night. After the game i took ice cream to my friend who had just had knee surgery. On Saturday i had to work from 11:30-4 at blue valley rec. I also hung out with friend Saturday and Sunday night and celebrated two of their birthdays. My boyfriend also came back from KU this weekend and i went out to dinner with his family Monday night. Even though i stayed in town over Labor Day weekend i still had a blast and kept busy.

I agree with this newspaper clipping because you have to work hard for the things you want. They are not just going to be handed to you on a silver platter. Kids or teenagers these days just expect the best of the best to just be given to them, or to be allowed to do whatever they want. They need to learn that with hard work and dedication you can earn the things that they want, such as hanging out with friend and having a cellphone. Teenagers believe they deserve to have everything when majority of them do nothing to earn it. They are wasting their time, talent, and their intelligence by just having things given to them without working for them.

After watching the short clip of Ashton Kutcher's acceptance speech what did you take away from his advice? What does this quote mean to you -"Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you, and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use."

In his acceptance speech i took away that power is knowledge and to always continue to search for what will make you more successful in this world. Not only just living in it, but contributing to it and making the world a better place for everyone. Ashton's quote is very inspiring to a lot of people because just knowing that you can be the start of change just by your knowledge is empowering. It challenges people not to settle for mediocre and strive for excellence.
